Unit definition:
One Unit of acetyl-CoA synthetase activity is defined as the amount of enzyme required to produce one μmole of acetyl coenzyme A from acetic acid, ATP and coenzyme A per min in the presence of NAD+ in TEA buffer (128 mM), pH 8.4 at 25oC.
