Unit definition:
One Unit of D-glutamate-pyruvate transaminase is defined as the amount of enzyme required to produce one μmole of D-glutamate per minute from α-ketoglutaric acid (12.4 mM) in the presence of NADH at pH 7.5 and 25oC.
