Unit definition:
One Unit of endo-α-N-acetylgalactosaminidase activity is defined as the amount of enzyme required to release one µmole of p-nitrophenol per minute from Gal-β1,3-GalNAc-α-pNP (0.2 mM) in Tris.HCl buffer (100 mM) pH 7.5 at 37oC.

Specificity:
Hydrolysis of the O-glycosidic-α-linkage between Gal-β-1,3-GalNAc (Core 1) or GlcNAc-β-1,3GalNAc (Core 3) and a serine or threonine residue of glycopeptides and glycoproteins.
